1. I got my trach removed. This is a very big personal victory for me. And, after a week, it has healed! This is an unexpected moment of things going as they ought to instead of mysteriously being worse.
2. The massive escalation of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Israel and Gaza is ... well, I cry every day reading the news. Millions of civilians are suffering because tiny factions are engaging in retributive war crimes, each of which begets another.
3. My spouse is on a medication which seems to have mitigated 80% of her chronic fatigue. It is miraculous, and I keep waiting for something to go wrong, but it's been a couple of months of nothing but good. (It also lends credence to the "CFS is in many cause caused by systemic enterovirus" hypothesis.)
4. One of our dogs has been living with PLE, and his medication needs have recently escalated. We have known since his diagnosis that this will be what kills him eventually, and every time he has a flare-up we worry.
