maker, maker, make me a --
Mar. 13th, 2024 02:36 pmI've joined a local makerspace!
It's one of the more-functional ones, both in terms of what tools and space it offers and in terms of "it hasn't imploded in interpersonal drama yet." (I asked around.) At any rate, I have attended a number of mandatory orientations, I have watched a LOT of YouTube videos, and I have gotten some lessons from my son, who also joined.
I have made one (1) very awkwardly shaped snail via blacksmithing. (Don't get excited, it's a strip of waste metal that I just bent into an uneven spiral, and then split the free end into little sensory stalks. It's terrible quality and I love it.)
I have also started shaping corbels for a shelf I want to install in my bedroom above the closet door.
I cannot express HOW MUCH LEARNING IS OCCURRING.
So many Learning Experiences.
I am having so much fun!
