This was riveting! I kept fearing one final reverse -- ottoman turns into giant spider and attacks! Chair, which has been fine for repeated testing, collapses! I was much relieved that nothing of the sort happened. (I didn't really exactly expect the spider scenario, but the narrative mind is a strange engine.)
