had throat surgery number 16 or 17 this afternoon. I have lost track of how many.

surgery went well.

Post surgery pain management is very challenging this time. (it depends on what exactly he has to do in there. Sometimes he cuts more tissue away, which he said he did this time, and then recovery is more difficult.)

i feel like shit.

Also, apparently the intubation was rougher this time? Maybe? Because my lips, jaw, and throat have visible bruises this time? Which is unusual?

I look like someone tried to throttle me.

Which, honestly, is the OPPOSITE of what they were doing.

Anyway.
